Murphy Bed

Some pics of the construction of a murphy bed in Kim’s office to match her existing furniture (that was the brief).

Assembly was on the dining room table.

A pic after finishing with a combo stain/varnish product which was shite and had to be completely replaced with a proper stain amidst much gnashing of teeth.

In a doofus move, I mis-measured the stair clearance properly up the stairs and so, after further gnashing of teeth the bed was sawed in two, taken up the damn stairs and re-assembled.

Here it is installed - coming soon are swing up doors above the bed and a bookshelf to the right and one final coat of stain.

After final install with the shelving on the side and upper lift-up doors.
