At The O'Keefe

Luke and the Apostles, the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane played 5 nights at Toronto’s O’Keefe Center August 1-5 1967 (including matinee shows on Wednesday and Saturday). A soundboard 8-track tape of the Dead’s 2 sets from Aug 5th recently surfaced and is below - aside from being surprising good sound, it’s also notable for being the earliest-known recorded "That's It For The Other One."

Jerry: “sorry folks, we can only do loud stuff”

According to the Toronto Star review shown under the setlist below, “after the concert-dance, another dance occurs right on stage. This one planned as all three bands jam for a straight 50 minutes.” Oh, to have the complete tapes of the entire run.
